Ruth Ann & Wald have been really busy organising the April 2008 Readers Studio . . . do go and look at http://www.readersstudio.com/ - just click on the beautifully designed Ciro Marchetti poster to enter the site and find out lots about what is coming up - or join us on the call in a few days' time.

As you may already know, the conference is sold out with a growing waiting list.  If you can't get there you can STILL COME AND JOIN US . . . remember we have teleconferences leading up to the event each year as well as after the event where we share knowledge, tips, learnings and catch up socially.  This means that - even if you are not going to be at the event you can STILL ENJOY & SHARE SOME OF THE LEARNINGS AND THE ATMOSPHERE.  That's what persuaded me to make the trip last year.

It is such a fantastic environment.  I went for the first time last year and learned huge amounts; I made some amazing new friends; I networked with and worked alongside some of the top Tarot readers, teachers, artists, authors and designers in the world and had heaps of fun.  You can read more about my experiences and see some photos on my Tarot Academy blog at LiveJournal.com  I'll be blogging there from this year's conference too!

So - come and join us in the exciting build up to this amazing event.

The monthly teleconferences after the Readers Studio will focus on catching up with each other, sharing what we have learned and implemented and an opportunity for reconnecting with our Readers Studio friends.

The Launch Event went really well in February with a number of people coming along and quite a few playing the TarotTarot game and thoroughly enjoying themselves!

WHAT IS IT?

 

Let me give you an idea of how it works so that you can see what suits you best . . .

 

An opportunity each month for anyone interested in Tarot – see “WHO IS IT FOR?” below – to come along and experience Tarot by:

 

• asking questions of experienced Tarot professionals
• looking at and playing with different Tarot & Oracle decks and Tarotphernalia
• booking to play the TarotTarot board game where you create your own reading (either for the month ahead or on a specific topic of your choice)
• mixing with others who are interested in Tarot who want to share this interest in a relaxed, social and friendly environment
• learning how useful Tarot is – both personally and professionally
• understanding what an amazingly simple and accessible solution-provider it can be

 

Note:  There will be a selection of Oracle & Tarot decks available for sale at these meetings.

 

WHEN IS IT?

 

In the evening on the third Thursday of each month. 

 

The regular monthly drop in will run from 7-30pm to 10pm. 

 

You can feel free to come and go as you please . . . The TarotTarot games will run at 8pm & 9pm.

 

Remember you can create your own reading if you play the game. 

You will have professional readers helping you to make sure you get the best out of the game and your time.  Book your place(s) now to be sure of a seat.

 

Entrance Fee is normally £15 - payable on the door

(that's less than the price of a 20 minute reading and you get help creating your own reading if you want to, plus up to two and a half hours of Tarot fun and learning.

 

BONUS OFFER:  Bring a friend/colleague and each pay just £10 on the door.

 

Plus, ALL those who attended our Special Launch Event secure the special £10 booking rate for any meetings they attend in 2008!

WHO IS IT FOR?

• you are curious about Tarot – don’t know much about it and would like to find out more
• you have had a reading (or several) and would like to know more about how it works
• you know something and want to have a look at different decks and understand more about Tarot and the different decks available
• you are interested in learning more about Tarot (informally at these drop ins or via Training Courses and Workshops)
• you would like to play the TarotTarot board game and create your own reading (you can do this each month if you like)
• you are familiar with Tarot and want to deepen your knowledge
• you want to find out more about the practical appliction of Tarot in life and business
• you are interested in exploring or studying different decks
• you are enthusiastic about networking with others who share your interest
• you want to have fun doing this at times to suit you!

 

WHO IS IT RUN BY?

 

Me!  I am delighted to be your host for these evenings.  I began studying Tarot with the wonderful Kate Chandler from Zen in Birmingham and have since then travelled the world, meeting up with and working with a number of Tarot luminaries including authors, artists, designers, publishers, speakers and other professional readers.

 

I collaborate with The Tarot School of New York and am an Endorsed Member of TABI (Tarot Association for the British Isles).  I’m also an accredited Business Coach (through the Business Coaching Foundation) and a licensed approved Constraints Coach (through the Flippen Group in the USA).  I’m also recognised as being “Truly Exceptional” as Tarot Academy - on The Best of Bromsgrove

WHERE IS IT? (in the Midlands)

 

The Holiday Inn Express, just off M5, jn5 (the Droitwich turn off) – just 20 minutes from the Hagley Road in Birmingham and even closer to the M42.

 

If you are using satnav or www.multimap.co.uk for directions then the postcode is WR9 7PA.  Their telephone number – if you need directions from them – is 0870 442 5658.  There is plenty of free parking and it's between the Wych Way Inn & Macdonalds - easy to find and plenty of places to eat and drink before or after.  There is also a hotel bar where they serve food.

 

We have a meeting room set aside and we can spread out into the bar area too for anyone who wants to socialise and sit and chat with their new found friends.

Hi everyone,

Well, I've been away from posting for a while and there are lots of great things going on here in my world of Tarot!!

I'm really enthusiastic about the idea of a regular monthly Tarot meetup in the Midlands (in the UK) and after many posts on the various forums at Aeclectic, Tarot Association of the British Isles, UK Tarot Talk, etc. . . .

Well, I made a decision and went down to a hotel nearby and booked a room for the

THIRD THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH

Starting this week!!!!

So, here's my plan:

I'm putting the word out to my clients, my colleagues, my friends, my fellow Tarot enthusiasts and professionals and hope that people will come.

How does that phrase go . . . if you build it they will come? I hope so.

This week - Thursday 21st February will be my SPECIAL LAUNCH and will run from 8.30-10pm 

at the Express by Holiday Inn, Droitwich WR9 7PA - which is just off M5, junction 5 (Droitwich turn off). There is plenty of free parking and a meeting room is booked!!

So, I hope I get some people along. Can you come? Can you pass it on to anyone?

I'll bring decks to have on display for those who want to have a look at some new/different decks.

I'll bring the TAROTTAROT board game which is fantastic - if you want to book a seat then email me at mary@marycollin.co.uk and I'll book you in. (I have several copies of the board game if it gets popular over the coming months!)

So . . . I kind of got frustrated waiting for something to happen so I've taken the plunge and made it happen. I hope the dates (3rd Thursday) and timings (8.30-10pm for the Launch Event on 21st February one and 7.30-10pm for all future ones) work for some of you.

I reckon that if a few of us meet and pay between five and ten pounds each we can get the room and have as much tea and coffee as we want. And we get to have hours of:

- Tarot talk
- looking at/playing with different decks
- sharing skills, knowledge
- playing the TarotTarot game to create our own readings in a fun way
- special topics each month
- fun!

That's my plan . . .
